Ive been looking and looking and have not found any solid instructions on how to make a Kwikset bump key, im using a triangular file and I have not touched the shoulder or the tip yet. How low do I go, or can someone post a clear picture for me? Currently the key works the same as my regular housekey but I only filed down one ridge which is the second one.

The pictures above are of the same key that I have currently.

Thanks

Yup, your key has only 4 cuts.

could the first cut possibly just be a one or a two and the picture doesnt show it that well? I had a key that the first cut was VERY shallow once. Just a thought.
