[Bumpkey]

I made this bump key (quite badly, actually) recently, and its not working. Why not? Is it because of how messy I made it? Should I try to sand down another one? Could I be bumping it wrong?

First -- welcome to the forum.

To be honest, it's really not that bad of a bump key. The one suggestion I would have is to make the valleys deeper and wider. Doing this will also bring down the peak height so just go slowly and file little bits at a time.
I don't suppose you have a caliper available ?
