Will a deadbolt remain fully functional after being bump keyed? And, can I use the bump key I make to lock the deadbolt?

For the most part, the answer to both questions, is yes. However, as we've noted before it is possible to physically damage a lock that's been bumped... even if great care is taken. Please keep this in mind if you're bumping doors that must be opened in a hurry.

I used one of my deadbolt once for practice bumping, but after bumping its unusable due to some mistake done. I think you can use that lock if proper care is taken to bump that and can also lock that deadbolt.
