Shouldn't an SC20 key work on a Schlage E lock. I'm pretty sure that the SC20 fits into the keyhole, but would it bump? Maybe its easier to have the right key.

Alright, its fits into the lock alright, but I cannot get this thing to bump at all. Maybe I should order some SC9 keys just to see if they make the job easier...

I also noticed that the grooves seemed to be aligned different when I compared the SC9 (the real key for the door) and my bumpkey, the SC20. is this normal?

if your dealing with a 5 pin lock or the pins arent lined up with the key when the key is fully inserted then you want to put some dampeners on the base of the key so the pins line up properly ..then it should work
