Not sure if it would work in real life... since this was a 3-pin lock (4 chambers left empty.

After a couple more tries, I destroyed the lock though.

The wording of the topic peaked my interest... then I continued reading and saw it was a modified BEST lock.

In any case thanks for uploading the video!

One question though: what's the green putty on the lock used for? A dampener perhaps ?

Actually, it's not modified. It's a stock construction core that just happens to have only 3 chambers filled. The green paint serves no purpose other than visual identification that the lock is a construction core.

So, in theory a lock with 7 pins is possible to bump. My guess is it's exponentially harder.
