I recently have a door locked in my company and they lost the key. I am trying to use the bump key technique to open it. But how do I know which bump key should I buy? How do I know if it's a 6-pin or 5-pin and brand and model?

It takes very little effort in most cases to identify the lock in question, and normally once you've done that, you know which key is needed. I spent about a month just being aware of my surroundings. Even If I wasn't sure of the brand or the key needed, I made a mental note in my travels.
While I did this, I couldn't help but notice, how many things are overlooked during the average persons day. If you pay attention to your surroundings, or at least the locks around you, you may quickly identify the matter at hand and the solution.
Most of the common locks have a name on them, or a key shape, just knowing the application it is used in narrows it down by 50%.
Bump first and ask questions later.
