master no#5 lock

The master no#5 and master m1 keys are alike,so why can`t i bump the no#5 lock with my m1 key? Is the lowest dept on the m5 key not 999? any responce would be helpful,thanks.

The "M1" key has nothing to do with the specific variety of Master Lock, i.e. "No. 1, No. 3, No. 5," etc.

The Master No. 5 does take an M1 key, with the same depth and spacing specifications as all the rest of them. Some locks are keyed in such a way that makes bumping difficult. Refine your technique and keep trying.
