can i make a home made bump key?

has anyone got a diagram for making a bump key for a yale lock??do i need an uncut key or can i use any old yale key????

Use an old Yale key. That way you already have the correct spacing laid out for you. All you need to do is get the depth correct.

Try using the "Search" function on this forum for directions on how to make your own. I know there are quite a few posts with good information about making your own.

Post pics of your key when you get it to where you think it should be and the rest of us will look at it to see if you have done well enough.

The above post is really very useful to get the required answer. All I can say is use very low force while filing the key and don't over do it. The valleys must be similar to the diagram and and yep you can use this forum as your guide.
