I got my head down and done some research. After talking with several UK lock suppliers around the UK I can offer this list of the most popular rim cylinder locks in use on UK front doors. All seem to be five pin:

YALE
UNION
ASEC
ERA
CHUBB

Also great news is my YALE bumpkey also worked in every ERA and UNION lock I've tried. Should anyone have a key that does any of the others in combination with each other, we could be on for a very small toolbox. As soon as I get paid I'm going to buy a load of locks and attempt to make it possible to open them all with as few keys as poss - maybe 2, maybe 1
Imagine if one key can do all those locks!
Good news about all that then eh?

I work for the local council and the new house doors have Wing Haus locks. Some of the communal doors to flats have Securit ond Zone locks. They will all bump.

hello if you are in the UK and getting frustrated check out having now on sale a striking tool the LOXWAT - lock swat
it's brilliant, with changeable heads and cheap too.
I would like to thank this forum for the inspiration to make a UK site
