Using an ordinary key that contains the deepest cut, I kept moving it along the vise and made all five cuts the deepest. Went back and added 45degree angle using the other wide of the cutter, then I modified the shoulder a bit.

What do you guys think of the outcome? the 5th mountain peak being taller doesn't look right to me.
Try or remake it?

That is the way a KW1 is supposed to look. Now all you need is bumping skills. :)
Bump it to the next level.

Looks good. Time to assert your dominance over the world of Kwikset five pins.

Do I need to back off the shoulder more?

Get the thing to work for you using pull out first. For pull out, you're good to go as it is. Only thing I would recommend if it doesn't work is to take down the grooves a little bit.
