Bump Keys For Cars
It's one of the most common questions we get asked and, unfortunately, making or buying a bump key for a car is not possible. To understand why you need to first know the fundamental differences between a car lock and a lock that you might find on a residential building.
A lock that is found on an automobile is usually a wafer lock. These locks can not be bumped.
Locks found on residential locks can be bumped with a bump key.
There is one caveat to this general rule: older automobiles. Older cars sometimes will utilize pin tumbler locks which can be bumped.
